I couldn’t stand this song before but it has really grown on me the past week and I really like where Chet Faker went with this one, lyrically and sonically.

What’s funny is even when Chet Faker tries to be funky and groovy, the antagonist in his songs is still suffering. Quite clearly this song is about engaging in a very steamy, intimate relationship, well in this case it’s not really a relationship, they’re clearly just fucking but the poor boy has the feels – he wants emotional connection and she’s not exactly willing to reciprocate.
