an omg moment.

I finally finished reading The Power of Now. And just before I got into the last 50 pages of the book, I had msg’d my sister telling her about Stoicism and Marcus Aurelius.

If you’ve read my previous posts, you would know that I had only come across the Stoic philosophy and Marcus Aurelius’s name yesterday.

Here’s the craziest thing —

Eckhart Tolle, the writer of The Power of Now mentions Marcus Aurelius’s name in his book.

And I was like no way, that’s so cool because it is just the craziest timing. Like, oh the universe is really telling me something or perhaps I am responsible for this manifestation.

And you wanna know which other name I have been thinking about that keeps coming into my head? — Aldous Huxley.

I know. I first came across Aldous Huxley in highschool when I used to listen to so much of The Doors. I read books on Jim Morrison throughout highschool. Being a huge Doors fan, of course I know that The Doors got their name from the book — The Doors of Perception.

I have always wanted to read that book since I was in highschool but I have been waiting for the right time. The time has come… well once I get a copy of it.

So, I’ve added The Doors of Perception and Brave New World on my ‘Books to Read’ list.

I’ve added several books on my list actually. I’m making it my goal to read one book a week for however long… until I get bored of reading.🤓😂

I don’t want to get to lost in the world Aldous Huxley too much because I know a lot of his work is fictional (although they’re almost non fictional if you know what I mean?)

I still kinda wanna stay on the theme of enlightenment and spirituality, and keep reading non-fictional books.

Anyway, I gotta sleep now but will share my thoughts on Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now tomorrow when I get time.
