정수: 여보세요?

= I think I broke it.

고장 낸 – trouble, failure, breakdown, out of order
것 같아 – “it seems to be…”

정수: 뭐? 왜? 아니, 어떻게?
= What? Why? I mean, how?

민지: 몰라… 갑자기 화면이 까맣게 돼서 아무거나 눌러 봤는데, 안 켜져.
= I don’t know. The screen went black all of a sudden, so I just tried pressing any buttons, but it won’t turn on.

민지: 알았어. 미안해 오빠.
= Alright. Sorry, oppa.
알았어 – alright, i know, alright then
미안해 – sorry

정수: 괜찮아.
= It’s okay.

민지: 오빠, 컴퓨터 고쳤어?
= Oppa, did you fix the computer?

정수: 아, 응. 고쳤어.
= Oh, yes, I fixed it.

~기 전에 – When ‘전’ is placed after a verb, it translates to “before.” When you want to use 전 like this, you must add ~기 to the verb stem of the preceding verb.
확인해 봐 – make sure to check comprised of 확인하다 – to check, make sure and 봐 as in 보다 to see, watch, look

민지: 아하, 알았어. 그러면 나 지금 컴퓨터 써도 돼?
= Aha, I see. Then, can I use your computer now?

도 돼 – one may or one is allowed to. When used in question, it gives the impression of “regardless of…” some more examples of this particle:
밥을 많이 먹어도 돼요? – May I eat alot?
화장실에 가도 돼요? – May I go to the bathroom?
아무거나 해도 돼요 – You can do whatever you want.
여기 있어도 돼요 – You are allowed to be here.

= Oppa, the computer isn’t working again.

안 돼 – not going well, not working, not finished

정수: 안 될 리가 없는데. 비켜 봐.
= There is no way that it won’t work. Step aside.
안 되다 – not going well, not working, not finished etc
~ㄹ 리가 – “There is no way.” More examples:
뚜껑이 그냥 다 없어질 리가 없어요 – There is no way that the lid just disappeared
점심으로 많이 먹고 또 벌써 배고플 리가 없어요 – After eating a lot for lunch, there is no way that you can be hungry again
비켜 봐 – 비키다 to step aside
봐 – more examples of the usages of 봐:
사과가 너무 비싼가 봐요 = I guess the apples are too expensive (maybe because you realized that nobody is buying any apples, so you have the evidence to lead you to believe that the apples are too expensive)
내복을 입어야 되는가 봐요 = I guess I need to wear long-johns (long-underwear) (if you imagine it’s winter and you look outside and you realize that it is going to be freezing cold)
정부에게 불만을 표현하고 싶은 사람이 많은가 봐요 = It looks like there are a lot of people who want to express their complaints towards the government (If you imagine you are walking around the downtown of your city and you see a bunch of protesters protesting something at city hall)

민지: 이거 봐. 안 켜져.
= Look. It won’t turn on.
이거 – this
봐 – as in 보다 (different usage of 봐, yet again)
안 – not
켜져 – 겨가 to turn on

정수: 하하. 그건 전원 버튼이 아니야. 전원 버튼 여기 있어.
= Haha. That’s not the power button. The power button is over here.
그건 – that

아니야 – it is not

있어 – as in 있다 to exist

민지: 그러면 이건 뭐야?
= Then what is this?

정수: 그건 리셋 버튼이야.
= That’s the reset button.
